the publishing dates are all off since i dont always have acess to a computer. Ill figure out how to do this a little better soon enough.
Today was a bit of a bad day for me due to a slashed front tire i couldnt ride with the others and had to hang back in the support van. I would have love to have ride in the rain bombing the huge descents in the allagheney(sp?) mts. Alas,I had to wait until i made it to steel city to get the set of tires and smaller chain ring that will be helping me very much to get over the Rocky Mts.Tomorrow im sure to have an even better day. I love this city. Its going to be very hard for me to come back home.
Its 415 in the morning and most of have not even slept from the night before. Too stoked. I was told that this morning that a chosen few of us would be on CBS’ morning show talking about the ride and asking us a few questions.Everyone is up,downstairs ,drinking coffee, eating fruit and making that final ritualistic prep before the begining of any big ride. Ive got some work to do.
If anyone already doesnt know,im riding my bike from NYC to LA in the morning. We wake up around 430 to load up,make final checks with equipment,gear and ourselves. Today we had a kickoff party in Manhattan at some bar called epstein’s. Free booze,cool new friends,fast bikes and nice weather.Honestly,what more could a cyclist ask for? After the party ,we came back to prep our gear and double check our bikes.Needless to say,everyone else is just as stoked as I am.
